THE HOUSE OF JAH (FOREVER) |
This is the 4rd track of my NET ALBUM "Reasonings
in Dub". It's a Dub from a track
wherein I sing Psalm 23 straight out of the
Bible.
"Some A Dem
Read
In The Book Of Dead,
But I Man Read
In The Book Of Life"
It's a relatively low-tempo steppers
tune, with some complicated play on the
snaredrum. The bassline is rather simple, as
a contrast.

love in dub |
|
This is the 3rd track of my NET ALBUM "Reasonings
in Dub".
As the title suggests, this one comes
full of vibes. And the vibes, in this
instance, come in the form of harmony
singing, a slice of melodica, and
strategically placed echo's. The drums play
a steppers rhythm in the style of Jamaican
Rockers and the bassline is foundational.

ARTICLE |

|
| BE
YOURSELF |
Reggae Music in 2006 is part of a world-wide
culture, which started on Jamaica. It is
obvious, that Jamaican Culture stands at the
root of Reggae Culture. And it is obvious,
how the Movement of Rastafari continues to
play a central role within Reggae Music
until this very day.
Just like music in itself cannot really be
"religious", it is absurd to state
that Reggae Music in itself is to be a Music
for religious purposes. Personally, however,
for me, it is. Reggae for me is a way to
praise JAH.
And I am not the only one!

MEDITATIONS |
|
This is the 2nd track of my NET ALBUM "Reasonings
in Dub". It's a Dub based on the same
riddim as my track "Wheels In
Wheels" from the album "Apocalypse
Then", but the mix is completely
different.
"Give Me The Roots and Culture, Give
me the Reggae Music, Give Me The Rockers DUB
DUb Dub dub ub b!"

| WORDS
AND TEACHINGS |
|
This is the 1st track of my NET ALBUM "Reasonings
in Dub", in which I introduce myself as
well as the album's topical contents. The
music starts off where my previous album
"Apocalypse Then" left us: with
some Steppers tunes.
"Words And Teachings" contains
some chanting in Roots DJ style, one of my
favorite kinds of doing vocals. Riding on a
One-Chord Riddim, with some horns in long
echoing adds to that vibe as you will hear.

| LAST
OF THE NEPHILIM |
|
This is the 15th and last track of my NET ALBUM "Apocalypse Then".
Of course, we need to have a
"conclusive" track to end this
collection of DUBS dealing with ancient
times and supressed history. Musically, and
topic-wise as well.
Let's start with the music...
