This
is the 15th and last track of my NET ALBUM
"Apocalypse Then".
Of course, we need to have a
"conclusive" track to end this
collection of DUBS dealing with ancient
times and supressed history. Musically, and
topic-wise as well.
Let's start with the music.
Usually a Steppers rhythm gives a feeling
of energy. That's why it's called
"Steppers". But this tune is a
little bit different. Not much, just a
little bit.
Horns, an easy tempo (127 BPM), and nuff
effects form the main ingredients. The drum
and bass play an Ire line and the DUB mixing
itself stays kind of relaxed.
The mix opens with a synthesizer, a drum
break and some true horn play. After a
while, the horns get soaked in echoing while
the drum and bass play on. There are a
couple of "resting places" during
the mix, but the whole tune stays relaxed
most of the time anyway.
And that has everything to do with the
topic. For this easy-going steppers, is a
celebration of the fact that in ancient days
the Nephilim were destroyed.
Where some people think that the
Israelites were kind of brutal when they
conquered the Promised Land, it is not a
commonly known fact that we are not speaking
about humans! The Israelites had to fight
the Nephilim and therefore they had to turn
to violence.
In fact, the Nephilim were a threat to
the very existance of mankind. That's the
reason why the Great Flood came: to wipe the
Nephilim of the face of the planet.
Last Of The Nephilim is also the last
track of this album. But we should realize,
that the return of the Nephilim have been
foretold. So in reality, the real Apocalypse
has yet to come.
Apocalypse Tommorrow?
You bet!
