July 2025 - This is the first fruit of a
brand new Dubroom project called "The
Roots Generators". It is the name of a
virtual Studio band that does exactly the
same what a Reggae Studio band does: making
original raw riddim recordings, under the
direction and arranging of the producer.
Everything is carefully crafted and subsequently
processed in the Dubroom Studio. Mixing,
arranging, directing, producing: whatever
you can think off studio wise is all done by
Messian Dread. This also goes for the
lyrical content.
Introducing
the "See Dem Riddim"!
The first
Roots Generators riddim released by the
Dubroom is a militant
steppers drums and a very deep bass for
which you need a subwoofer in order to have
the maximum experience. Guaranteed for some
earthquake effects in your neighborhood or
local. A small horn theme and a tight rhythm
section complete this solid musical work.
Mix 1:
See Dem Riddim Mega Mix
A second
vocal mix of "Ruler Of Them All"
opens up this mega mix. More dubby than the
first mix. It is then followed by a Dub
Plate version, with some rough Dub Mixing
Sound System style. The Dub Plate then
continues into some heavy duty Dub Wise. The
whole mega mix lasts just over eleven
minutes.
Mix 2:
Ruler Of Them All Vocal Mix
Almost three minutes and forty-five seconds
of pure Roots Reggae niceness. The vocal mix
has the full lyrics, and a little bit of Dub
teasing towards the end. Yes,
knowing that Jah is the Ruler of them all is
a very strong knowledge. It comes from
having faith in the Most High and His Word.
This makes you walk on that narrow road
while all around you is war, rumors of war,
confusion, backbiting and more of
that.
Mix 3:
Ruler Of Them Dub
A Dub
version of the vocal track "Ruler Of
Them All". It has some really excessive
hand-made echoing on the vocals as well as
some heavy filtering on the bass here and
there.
Mix 4:
Dubroom Time
In a
completely different mix than the segment in
the mega mix, this is the full length Dub
plate. Heavy Dub Mixing with the full
lyrical content.
Mix 5:
Dubroom Dub
A
heavyweight Dub in which no instrument or
vocal is spared from going through layered
filters and effects. All mixed by hand in
the Dubroom Studio. A Dubroom DUB fe real!
The tracks
are available for free download in MP3
format straight from the Dubroom servers.
The Wave files, in 24-bit 48Khz super
quality can be downloaded for free or for a
voluntary tip from the BANDCAMP.com
website. Selectors, music collectors,
