This
is the 10th track of my NET ALBUM "Reasonings
in Dub".
From the One Drop, to the Two Drop. The
bassline moves from snaredrum to snaredrum,
resulting in long pauses in the line. This
gives a special effect, often used in the
more relaxed forms of Rub a Dub.
There are hardly any horns, and the theme
is played by a synth string soaked in
reverbs and phasers. A guitar plays
rhythmically next to the Guitar skanks, and
these are not even all the instruments.
In the Dub, you will hear a lot of
reverse effects on especially the drums. But
before the actual dubbing starts, there's a
few lines of singing in the mix:
"You've Got To
Appriciate
What Jah Jah Did
You've Got To Know Him
All the Days Of Your Life
Please Consider
The Blessings Of JAH
That You Receive
All The Days Of Your Life
You've Got To Follow Him,
You've Got To Follow...."
With of course a long echo from the last
word. Some horns with echo's, drums with
echo's and other instruments follow. Then
the drums play a break and there's a small
rest.
The guitar takes over, the drum and bass
enter, voice enters and drum and bass play
on while the echo's flow again.
Then some more singing:
"He Came Down
To Die For You And I
Yesus Messiah,
The Almighty One!"
Yes, He is the WORD OF JAH.
Don't let anyone tell you differently.
